My Lucky Day

This is my lucky day,
I’ve got that kismet thing going my way,
I’ve found an uncle for my monkey and me,
And I’ve just set eyes on my bride to be.
In a town like this we will always eat healthy,
But if he comes through for us,
You know, we’ll be wealthy.
I’ll have that girl in my arms,
And my mom decked out
In bracelets and charms,
And my sister shopping all the day long.
I know that life will be
A piece of choc’late for
My monkey and me.
Guys with luck like ours
Are to in a billion;
I know that life will be
A piece of choc’late for
My monkey and me

I’m a Lonely Genie  (Genie of the Lamp)

Well, I’m a lonely genie
Who’s been trapped inside a lamp.
It’s dusty and it’s musty,
And just a little damp.
I haven’t stretched my legs
In about two thousand years,
So let me take moment
While I get my act in gear.
I’m the biggest, baddest genie
That you’re ever gonna know.
Jean Genie, let yourself go.
Heidi, Heidi, Heidi, hey
(Come on guys work with me here!)
Heidi, Heidi, Heidi, hey
      Heidi, heidi, heidi, hey
Genie, Judy, Julie, Joe
      Genie, Judy, Julie, Joe
Rickety, tickety, tock
      Rickety, tickety, tock
Argle de bargle de bock
      Argle de bargle de bock

Beside Myself

J1: I could not stand Aladdin,
      He was arrogant and rude,
J2: And his filthy, smelly monkey
      Had a nasty attitude.
J1: Just one day with those two
J2: And my mind’s become unglued
J1&J2: I’m beside myself
And in fact I’m really stewed.
H: Pull yourself together, calm your heart.
This rage is really tearing you apart.
You give that boy more thought than he deserves.
You cannot do true evil with two sets of jangled nerves!
J2: He clearly did not understand
      The powers I possess.
J1: I could not let some bumpkin
Block the road to my success.
J2: He found when I am crossed
J1: That I can cause a dreadful mess
J2&J1: I’m beside myself
      And it’s causing me distress.
H: I think that I know a spell
That will serve our purpose well:
      Jeckyll Hydus, bind your mind!
Id and ego now be intertwined
J1: I’m back together sister.
      Thank you for your help!
I will not spare another thought
      For that obnoxious whelp!
He’s been caught inside my evil
Like a diver caught in kelp,
      And besides myself
No one else could hear him yelp
J1&J2: And besides myself
All No one else could hear him yelp!

A Palace in Our Hearts

It isn’t about wealth,
Or the jewels, or the palaces.
I’d love him poor as dirt,
His hands thick with calluses;
Without the fancy clothes
Or a pantry full of chalices,
We’d keep a humble home.
In the final analysis,
He’s just the boy for me,
And there will always be -
A palace in our hearts,
Spacious as the sky’s blue dome,
A palace built for two,
As real as mortar brick or stone,
A palace in our dreams
With arabesque and filigree -
If it’s only in our dreams,
It still is home enough for me.
Sure, I’ve had the finer things,
But I can live without them.
As long as he is near to me,
I do not care about them.
Silks and satins seem mundane
And golden things less golden
Than treasures laid up in the heart
That never can be stolen.
A palace in our hearts,
Spacious as the sky’s blue dome,
If it’s only in our hearts,
It’s still a palace of our own.
If it’s only in our hearts,
It’s still a palace of our own.

Chop Chop

Inside, inside!
Lock up all the doors!
Shutter up the windows,
And get down on the floor!
Princess Jasmine’s coming
So listen what I said,
Take a look at her
And you will lose your head.
My name is Chop Chop,
The executioner.
My friends all call me “C-Chop,”
But you can call me “Sir.”
Chop Chop, top cop,
Beware my scimitar,
‘Cause I can lop your head off
No matter who you are!

That Boy

That boy’s got something!
Can’t you see it in his eyes?
He’s awful sure of himself,
So it comes as no surprise,
When he starts grinning,
Girls’ heads start spinning
To see that boy over there.
That boy is something else!
He sure is sure of himself!
I kind of like him,
‘Though I’m sure he’s not my style
Still he’s got other boys beat
By a solid desert mile.
The joint starts jumping,
Girls’ hearts start thumping
Each time strolls into view –
That boy’s the big man in town!
That boy’s the best man around!
That boy . . .
You know there’s really something about
That boy . . .
All of the hearts start thumping over
That boy . . .
You know the joint starts jumping ‘cause of
That boy . . .
You know I really kind of like him.
That boy’s got something!
That boy’s really got something!
That boy’s got something!
That boy’s really got something!
That boy!
